The 2016 session of the legislature started this week at the Capitol. And we’re excited, because the riverfront, and more specifically the Upper River, are at the heart of the Park Board’s 2016 bonding request.

In December, we shared our first “Riverfront Revitalization Rewind” contest. And we got two correct guesses. Congratulations to riverfront-area resident Chris Flynn, who correctly identified the site of the SuperAmerica as being at Edgewater Park.

Admittedly, on first blush, there’s more work to do.  But removing the structure that was there is a first step toward more public uses, and an eventual park.
